Mali has already shown significant effort to transition into a greener, more sustainable economy, with the recent establishment of a new agency, the Agence de l’Environnement et Développement Durable (AEDD), to oversee environmental issues across government. The National Dialogue on green economy furthered this commitment, with the identification of four thematic areas deemed essential to address:
Agriculture, forestry and livestock
Management of water resources
Climate change and energy
Investment and employment
